Tan, is screening this year at Viet Film Festival (2025), Studio City International Film Festival (2025), LA Shorts Film Festival (2025), and the Women's Film Festival (2025) in Philedelphia.  I am currently scoring a feature film entitled, Three Colors: Pan-African, film which is an anthology feature film exploring contemporary Black existence across the diaspora funded by Film Independent.

As of 2025, I am the first composer to receive two Reel Change Grants by NewMusicUSA and Christophe Beck. Reel Change: The Fund for Diversity in Film Scoring is a five-year grants and mentorship program for film composers of diverse backgrounds historically underrepresented in film composition.

In 2024, I was invited as a composer-in-residence at several prestigious residencies across the U.S. including The Virginia Center for The Creative Arts, Wildacres Residency, The Wassaic Project and Mother's Milk Residency. Additionally I was a mentee of the Emerging Composers Program in 2023 hosted by the Ghetto Film School and an upcoming masterclass series hosted by Amanda Jones with guest speakers including: Kris Bowers, Sherri Chung and Steven Nice this year.

My musical journey began singing gospel music in church and jazz in high school. My scoring incorporates deep vocal beds, lyrical melodies, and textural instrumentation underneath contemporary cinema. I have exprience collaborating with filmmakers, dancers, artists, and writers alike seeking soulful, transformative storytelling through sound.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory with a degree in Jazz Composition, my signature style blends hypnotic minimalism and soul, weaving contemporary classical harmony with the lyrical spirit of gospel. My music, inspired by Julius Eastman, Bach, Philip Glass, and India Arie, radiates hope, tenderness, and a sense of unfolding discovery.
